Pat is the founder and owner of MD Billing and its affiliate, MD Consulting (mdconsult.biz). Pat has been working in the medical field since 1968. Her first job was at a privately owned hospital where she worked in every department of that facility. She did anesthesia billing for over 14 years before starting her own business, MD Consulting, so she could work from home and be with her children. She has maintained long-term relationships with her clients; some for over 30 years. She has set up over 35 practices in different specialties and has never had a practice that did not flourish. Pat is very knowledgeable in all facets of medical practices and continually receives education in both practice management and billing. Throughout her career she has negotiated contracts and dealt with the onset of managed care, all the while keeping her skill set sharp in all aspects of medical billing and reimbursement. She stills works everyday and is often seen billing and working on coding issues for her clients. She has had a part in training every biller that works for MD Billing. She welcomes your phone call and would love to talk with you about your new or existing practice. She offers free consultation and gladly answers any questions you might have in reference to running a very successful medical practice.

Steve Smith, RMM

Steve handles many of the administrative tasks including internal financial affairs and helps keep everyone on task. He also has billing experience with obstetrics. He met Pat while they were attending Southeastern Christian College. They were married and then he graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor Business Administration. He is essential to the operations of MDBS as well as to his wife Pat.

Amy is a co-owner of MD Billing Services and a partner of MD Consulting (mdconsult.biz). Amy has worked in the medical field for almost 15 years and has experience with both primary care and specialty practices. Amy holds a BA in Accounting from Asbury College. Amy is married to MD Billing's Network Administrator, Kevin. They have 2 young children.

Tim is one of the co-owners and co-founders of MD Billing Services. The company started soon after he graduated from Asbury College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Communications. He has billed for family practice, pain management, and has experience with medical practice operations as an employee of MD Consulting (mdconsult.biz). He is a part of the administration of MD Billing and helps handle day to day operations of the company. Tim's wife, Amanda is an Internal Medicine Chief Resident at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. They welcomed a baby boy into their family in 2011.

Kevin Crump, RMM

Kevin joined MD Billing Services, LLC in January 2004. He has gained experience with the Paradigm billing software and the medical billing process and continues to work on internal processes and data retrieval. Kevin has also served on the advisory board for QRS, the Paradigm software vendor. Kevin’s educational background is in industrial technology with a specialization in electronics. Previously, he worked as a research and development engineer. In his 10 years of engineering he earned multiple patents in the personal protective equipment industry. His hobbies are playing the guitar, working on instruments, riding motorcycles, woodworking, and being creative whenever the opportunities arise.

Bud Clevenger II, RMM

After graduating from Eastern Kentucky University, with a degree in Insurance and Risk Management, Bud worked insurance claims in KY, WV and PA. After 13 years in the insurance industry, Bud joined the MD Billing Service group in 2010. He is involved in the day to day operations of the billing and consulting services as well as overseeing human resources for the business. Bud’s wife Joy is also employed with M.D. Billing and they have two young sons.

Robin Bush, CPC, RMC, RMM

Robin began her career at MD Billing Services in August 2004. Prior to joining the MD Billing staff, she had worked in Christian education for 16 years, with the last eight of those years in the administration capacity. Her first responsibility at MD Billing was billing for a cardiology group. Her billing experience has also included internal medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, and neurology. She now serves as Billing Manager and has received her Registered Medical Manager and Registered Medical Coder Certifications. Robin enjoys singing in her church choir and on a worship team. Robin and her husband, Phil have two children, Whitney and Lee.

Charla moved to Kentucky from Tennessee in 2006. She worked in medical offices from 1989 to 2000 in such positions as receptionist, biller and nurse assistant. Since 2000 she has been supporting and training medical practice management software. In 2009 Charla became a certified professional coder.She is married and has two children.

Her billing experience is with pediatrics, orthopedics, urology, and internal medicine. She lives in Winchester with her husband and two sons. Her outside interests are reading, cooking, computers, and scrap booking.

Angie began her career with MD Billing as a Medical Biller in November 2012. Angie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University. Shortly after graduating in 2003 she began working for Urgent Treatment Clinics in Lexington, KY as a medical receptionist. After one year she moved into the role as Clinic Supervisor, which she did medical billing and coding along with managing the practice and staff for over 9 years. She is very knowledgeable and has background experience in all aspects of a practice from receptionist to clinical staff. Angie’s billing experience is with primary care, urgent care, nursing home, and specialty practices. Angie is married and has a young daughter.

Prior to working at MD Billing Services, Mike worked for 29 years in the financial industry with two local banks as a teller, head teller, customer service representative, and manager. He also worked in the area of loan collections. He has been employed with MD Billing Services since May 2004 specializing in OB/GYN practices. Mike is married and has two adult children, a son and a daughter. He is actively involved in his local church, and sings with a mens gospel quartet, Common Bond.

Tonia has worked in the medical field for 20 years. She has been a receptionist in various medical offices in Lexington and Winchester. She worked in a local physician’s office for eight years before coming to MD Billing in late 2003. Tonia has been employed with MD Billing for three years and she is a billing clerk for a family physician and an optometrist. She is married with two children.

Joy graduated summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky with a BA in English, receiving English department honors, and was a nominee for the 2001 A&S Undergraduate Award. Joy is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She was employed by the University Press of Kentucky and later went on to teach English at Nicholas County High School. Joy joined the MD Billing team in 2003, and her main focus is aged insurance tracking reports. Joy currently resides in the Lexington area with her husband and two young sons.

Rhonda began her career with MD Billing Services in 2012. She has 20 years experience in Office Management and Business Administration with 7 years of that being in the mental health field in North Carolina, where a part of her responsibilities were in billing for their services. She has 5 years experience within a Christian adoption agency and has served 10 years as a volunteer and board chairman of Eastern Region Leadership Training for Christ, a non-profit Christian organization geared to training young people to become Christian leaders in their homes, churches and communities. She is an American Red Cross Certified Instructor for FA/CPR/AED and a Kentucky Notary Public at Large. Rhonda moved to Kentucky in 2012 with her husband, Tom and lives in the Winchester area. They have 2 grown sons who live in North Carolina. Their oldest is married and has a 1 year old daughter.

Nicolle began working with MD Billing in 2012 after relocating to Lexington Kentucky from South Florida. She is a graduate of Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale with an Associates Degree in Science. After graduation she worked for a Cosmetic Surgery Center as a Medical Assistant and a Scrub Technician. In 2001 she began working for a plastic surgery group as an office and billing manager and is very knowledgeable in all aspects of a practice from administrative to clinical roles. Carol joined as the first employee of MD Billing Services in July 2002. She was the Billing manager from 2002 through 2004. Her billing experience is in thoracic and cardiac surgery, urology, dermatology, pediatrics, internal medicine, chiropractic, family practice, physical medicine and rehab, neurology, rheumatology, sports medicine, plastic surgery and orthopedics. She has 15 years of billing and coding experience. She has conducted training in house and at various practices. She has background experience in all aspects of a practice from receptionist to back office staff. She has also assisted in practice set-ups.

Stephanie Hughes has 25 years experience in the medical field. She started out as a part-time nursing assistant from 1982-1986 at Mercy Hospital in Owensboro KY. She has attended Georgetown College from 1984-1986 in which her primary studies included biology and chemistry. Next she worked in the business office at Georgetown Community Hospital from 1986-1999 where she had worked at different positions as PBX Operator, Registration Supervisor, and Medicare Specialist. During the time she worked at the hospital, she also worked for Dr. Narayan Venguswamy, a general/vascular surgeon, from 1991-1993 as the receptionist and biller. From 1999-2005 she worked with Samaritan Hospital as the Medicare and Medicaid Specialist and also was a “super user” in which she helped in building and training of employees with a new computer system. Then from 2006-2007, she began to work for Bluegrass Medical Group as the biller, which specialized in internal medicine. Now she has come to MD Billing Services in April 2007 as a biller. Stephanie resides in Winchester, KY with her two children, Maria and James.

Wayne began his career with MD Billing Services in February 2008. Previously, he spent 32 in corporate finance with the Ford Motor Company as a Financial Analyst, Plant Controller, and Corporate Accounting Manager. Wayne is also very involved in his local church in Lexington and while in Michigan, served as Church Treasurer for more than 27 years. He began his medical related career in 1997 as the Office Manager and Financial Analyst for a 5 physician Neurosurgery practice in Indiana where he worked for 5 years. Then in 2002 he moved to Kentucky to set up a Family Practice office where he served 6 years as office manager, financial analyst, payroll coordinator, and billing and collections analyst. Wayne has been married to his wife Lana since 1965. Together they have two children and four grandchildren.

"Aunt Betty" has been our courier since the beginning of 2006. She has driven thousands of miles transferring information between medical offices and our office. She delivers to Winchester, Lexington, Paris, Versailles, and Mount Sterling. Without her things would not run so smoothly around MDBS. And yes, she is Pat's actual aunt.

Past work experiences include 10 years with The United States Department of Agriculture as a program assistant, 5 years with GenApps-Tobacco Research Company, 4+ years in a Medical Office working the front desk/ receptionist, and Pioneer Federal Savings Bank. Coincidentally her job at Pioneer Federal was in the same building that MD Billing is now located. Cynthia's husband Scott and children-Stetson, Colton and Caycee all reside in Clark County. She is also very active in the local community as she is a member of Northside Baptist Church where she has been the church Treasurer for over 10 years, The Clark County Fair and Horse Show Board and The Clark County Saddle Club where she serves on several committees. Outside interests include Horseback riding/showing, computers, and any other activities her children are involved in.
